Tours to Transnistria
from Chisinau every weekend
Bendery is first mentioned in written sources in 1408, making it the oldest city in Transnistria. Over six centuries the city has seen dozens of wars and battles, earning it the title "City of Military Glory". Today it is the region's second-largest city, home to its largest fortress and well-preserved Soviet-era mosaics.
One-day excursions let you see Bendery Fortress, stroll through Alexander Park and along the Dniester embankment, and stop for a tasting at the Kislov winery.
For a deeper exploration of the city, we recommend a two‑day route: the fortress and Socialist Realism mosaics on day one, and rural tourism in Giska village with wine tastings on day two.
Our local guides will tell you about the city's six centuries of history, take you through the fortress, and show you the surviving Soviet-era mosaics and reliefs.
Bendery is suitable for historical excursions, gastronomic tourism, and a relaxing getaway along the Dniester embankment.
